Gary Visser

Gary Visser, MD, FAAFP

  • Board Certified Family Physician; American Board of Family Medicine
  • Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine; USF-Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency

Hometown: Harare, Zimbabwe
Education: Bachelors in Exercise Physiology; Doctor of Medicine, Florida State University College of Medicine.

After growing up in the Dr. Phillips area, Gary received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at Florida State University, where he also competed on the track and field team in the decathlon. He graduated from FSU’s College of Medicine’s third class, and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the USF-Morton Plant Mease program. Dr. Visser’s passion for athletics inspired him to pursue a fellowship in Sports Medicine. There, he worked closely with the Philadelphia Phillies MLB team, USF athletics, and the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships. Dr. Visser believes in hearing your personal story to customize recommendations for your unique situation, helping you discover and reach your goals. His professional philosophies integrate nutrition and fitness, preventative medicine with proactive education, and encouraging a balanced life. Gary cherishes time with his family and friends, as well as training for triathlons. He would be honored to serve as your primary care physician at PremierMED™| Family & Sports Medicine.

Adam Langley

Adam Langley, MD, FAAFP

Hometown: San Diego, California
Education: Bachelors in Exercise Physiology; Doctor of Medicine, Florida State University College of Medicine.

After growing up in Florida, Adam received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at Florida State University and was a part of the third class to graduate from the FSU College of Medicine. Dr. Langley’s residency training was completed in Clearwater at the USF-Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency. While there, he also enjoyed working with athletes in the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. Adam believes in hearing your personal story to customize recommendations for your unique situation, helping you discover and reach your goals. His professional philosophies integrate nutrition and fitness, preventative medicine with proactive education, and encouraging a balanced life. Adam cherishes time with his family, close friends, and sports such as surfing. He would be honored to serve as your primary care physician at PremierMED™ | Family & Sports Medicine.

Anri Brits, MD

  • Residency at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine at Phelps Hospital Program

Hometown: Johannesburg, South Africa
Education: Bachelors of Science in Business Administration; Doctor of Medicine AUC School of Medicine.

Anri Brits, MD was born in South Africa and moved to Florida as an adolescent. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Chemistry at the University of Florida. She graduated from AUC School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine at Phelps Hospital Program. Dr. Brits has worked as a full spectrum family medicine provider extending from pediatrics, women’s health, and geriatrics. Dr. Brits has a strong focus on preventive care with an integration of exercise and healthy eating to encourage a healthy body and mind. Anri enjoys yoga, running, playing piano, and spending time with family and friends. She would be honored to serve as your primary care physician at PremierMED™ | Family & Sports Medicine.

Ed Roberts, MD

Hometown: Windsor, Ontario, Canada
Education: Bachelors of Science with Honors from University of Western Ontario; Doctor of Medicine AUC School of Medicine; Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine Residency.

Ed Roberts, MD was born in Canada where he earned his Bachelor of Science with honors specialization in genetics from University of Western Ontario. He graduated from AUC School of Medicine where he also met his wife, Anri. He completed family medicine training at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine at Phelps Hospital Program in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Having trained in full spectrum medicine extending from pediatrics, women’s health and geriatrics, he is accepting both new and existing patients. He is an avid sports fan and continues to play hockey in the sunshine state. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife and daughter. He would be honored to serve as your primary care physician at PremierMED™ | Family & Sports Medicine.

Carolyn

Carolyn Knopfle, ARNP

  • Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Hometown:  Gainesville, Florida
Education:  Bachelors in Public Relations, University of Florida; Bachelors in Nursing, University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill; Masters in Nursing, Georgetown University

A Gainesville native, Carolyn stayed in her hometown to attend the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelors in Public Relations. She then went on to earn her Bachelors in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill. She returned to Florida and worked as a RN in the Neuro ICU at UF Health Shands Hospital. While she loved the fast pace of the hospital and caring for critically ill patients, Carolyn felt that she could do the most good in primary care by educating her patients on lifestyle modifications for disease prevention. This prompted her to continue her education, and she earned her Master’s in Nursing at Georgetown University. After graduation, she worked in an Endocrinology practice in Gainesville where she gained valuable experience caring for complex patients with diabetes, thyroid disease and other endocrine disorders. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys cycling, running and spending time with her family. She would be honored to serve you by providing your primary care medical services at PremierMED.

Dr Matthew Pierce Ganovsky, MD

Hometown: Windermere, Florida
Education: Bachelors in Biology; Doctor of Medicine, St. Matthews University School of Medicine.

After growing up in Central Florida, Pierce received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Rollins College in Winter Park. He graduated from St. Matthews University School of Medicine. He completed his training in June 2023 with USF-HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. During his training he served as Chief Resident for the program. His training consisted of serving a large geriatric population and underserved patient populations. He believes in a direct personal approach to patient care to achieve full body wellness including an integration of nutrition, fitness, preventive medicine, and proactive education.

Pierce cherishes time with his family, friends and hobbies such as weightlifting. fishing and tennis.
